In November we did a leadership training event for a sales team in California. We had the good fortune to be able to hold the event at the Kendall Jackson flagship winery in Healdsburg, California. In addition to the classroom leadership development sessions, one of the evenings was devoted to our signature team development dinner event.

It was a special treat to be able to use the new corporate kitchen, but the huge extra bonus was doing so under the tutelage of KJ Executive Chef, Justin Wangler. Our process always begins with a team assignment to create and deliver a gourmet dining experience. This time, under Justin’s guidance, the experience was over-the-top. It began with a walk through the half-acre culinary garden to choose herbs and vegetables for dinner, and simply ramped up to an incredible evening.

Kendall Jackson is a class act, as is Justin and his team. They made sure that all of our time with them was an experience worthy of the Jackson family reputation. That is something special that makes all the difference.

In appreciation a Route 2 donation will be made to the Napa Valley Culinary Institute of America scholarship fund.

Lagniappe in Cajun cooking is a little something extra that makes all the difference. Each time we publish for Leaders of Leaders we make a donation to a charity in recognition of something extra service that someone in the Route 2 community has experienced.
